The Scripture passage to be read is: Exodus 12:1-14

God will establish a new beginning for the people of Israel.  Trouble has, for them, been a way of life under foreign domination, but all that is to change.  It's an Opt-in system – the individual is to take some responsibility for the new future which includes looking out for their neighbours, to ensure that not only do they hear God's promise, but are also able to make a response to this offer of a restored relationship and new pathway in life.
