History

The Wesley Uniting Church Geelong, in the past known as Yarra Street Methodist Church, has been a community of Christian worship and witness since 1842.

As a result of the formation of the Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) during 1977 the members of the Wesley Methodist Congregation (Yarra Street), St. Giles Presbyterian Church and the Geelong Congregational Church combined to form the one community that now worships at Wesley.
